Travel Days Plan

Day 1:

Journey to Kibale National Park

Travel through Uganda's scenic countryside, passing tea plantations and rolling hills en route to Kibale Forest National Park. Located near Fort Portal, this 766 km² park protects pristine rainforest home to the highest concentration of primates in the world. Settle into Kibale Tourist Safari Lodge, featuring comfortable safari tents with en-suite facilities nestled in lush forest surroundings.

Day 2:

Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Swamp Walk

Begin with an early morning chimpanzee tracking experience in Kibale Forest, home to approximately 5,000 wild chimpanzees. Spend one hour observing these fascinating primates in their natural habitat. After lunch, explore the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary on a guided 2-3 hour walk through grasslands and communities, spotting multiple primate species and the spectacular great blue turaco.

Day 3:

Queen Elizabeth National Park & Kazinga Channel Cruise

Depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park via the scenic Kasenda crater lakes. Uganda's most visited park offers incredible biodiversity and famous tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a game drive viewing elephants, buffalo herds, Uganda kobs, and warthogs. In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, observing hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and abundant birdlife along the banks.

Day 4:

Morning Game Drive & Transfer to Bwindi

Rise early for a 6:30 AM game drive to spot lions, leopards, and other predators. Continue to Ishasha sector for lunch while searching for tree-climbing lions. Journey onward to Lake Mutanda and Bweza Gorilla Lodge, perched on a peninsula with breathtaking views of the Virunga Mountains—your base for gorilla tracking.

Day 5:

Gorilla Tracking & Lake Bunyonyi

The highlight of your safari begins at 6:00 AM with transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park headquarters. After briefing, trek through dense forest (1-6 hours) to encounter one of 15 habituated mountain gorilla families. Spend a magical hour observing these gentle giants. Later, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda's deepest lake, dotted with 29 islands. Enjoy canoeing and explore the cultural history, including the famous Punishment Island.

Day 6:

Return to Kigali

After breakfast, begin your return journey with lunch en-route and a memorable stop at the Equator for photographs and experiments. Arrive at Entebbe International Airport by 6:00 PM for your departure flight, carrying unforgettable memories of Uganda's incredible wildlife.
