At Safari O’clock , you can enjoy twice-daily game drives in specially designed open-air 4×4 vehicles. These adventures are led by your personal, knowledgeable, and friendly safari guide and are limited to a maximum of six guests.

A game drive offers the ability to cover a large amount of distance, travelling to locations where cats have recently been spotted, or where a mother and baby are known to be hiding. Usually, the most rewarding time for wildlife viewing is the early morning and late evening, when wildlife is more active in the cooler temperatures, so our game drives aim to capitalise on these periods. In the mornings, our vehicles come equipped with a picnic breakfast and fresh coffee, to allow for an earlier departure from camp. As soon as the sun is on the plains, your guide will find the perfect spot to stretch the legs and enjoy a picnic with a view.

The afternoon drives are equally exciting as they unfold into the sunset hours. Stop on the plains to savour a favourite gin and tonic or glass of wine, whilst toasting the sunset and enjoying an assortment of snacks. Sunset across the plains, perhaps with a well placed flat-top acacia, is always a spectacular affair.

If you’re a photography enthusiast, you can opt for a speciality photographic vehicle available from selected camps. Private vehicles can also be arranged, allowing for greater flexibility and total control over the structure of your day.
